The Minister of Communications and Technology opened the Conference of Telecommunications Companies in the country.

(Mogadishu – November, 12, 2022) The Minister of Communications and Technology XFS, Mr. Jama Hassan Khalif, today opened a conference attended by the leaders of the country’s telecommunication companies, and discussed how the companies should negotiate on issues related to communication and culture. The introduction of Article 49 of the National Telecommunications Act and the Interconnection Regulation instructing telecommunications companies to call each other because the Somali people have a great need for them.

Mr. Jama Hassan Khalif, the Minister of the Ministry of Communications and Technology, first of all praised the telecommunication companies for the good work they are doing for the country. It is their duty to protect and defend the country’s telecommunications companies, which play a major role in the country’s economy, Minister Jama said.

Mustafa Yasin Sheikh, the Deputy General Manager of the National Telecommunications Authority, also urged the companies to complete this process as soon as possible.

The meeting of the companies which will continue for a period of three days, important points will be brought out, and soon the connection of the companies will be launched, which the Somali people have been struggling to get several SIM-cards.
