The United States signed an agreement to sell weapons to Qatar

The United States has approved the sale of weapons worth $1 billion to Qatar, and this was announced during halftime of the World Cup match between the United States and Iran, which ended with the American team winning one. a goal against the Iranian team.

The United States Department of State has announced that it has signed an agreement to sell weapons to Qatar, which includes up to 10 units of the defense system of drones, and various weapons.

Qatar and other countries in the Arab Gulf are facing provocations from Iran and its allies.

In a statement released by the US Department of State, it was said that this arms sales agreement supports “US foreign policy and national security, while helping to improve the security of friendly countries [US], and this helps to be an important force for political stability and economic development in the Middle East”.

The US State Department said that this move will improve Qatar’s ability to deal with current and future threats.
