Information about the meeting between Hassan Sheikh and the government parliament committee

The President of Somalia Hassan Sheikh Mohamud held a meeting last night with the Committee and Standing Committees of the People’s Assembly of the Federal Parliament of Somalia.

According to a statement issued by the presidency, Hassan Sheikh briefed the committees and the board on the struggle to free the country from Al-Shabaab terrorists.

The President noted that the Federal Parliament of Somalia is central to the plan to free the country from Al-Shabaab terrorists, as they represent the Somali people who are suffering from the suffering and massacres by Al-Shabaab.

Hassan Sheikh urged the Committee and Members of the Federal Parliament of Somalia to speed up the approval of the laws and policies that are against the government that the government is submitting, and to strengthen the cooperation of the government councils.

According to Garowe Online, the president also spoke to the board and the committees of the People’s Assembly to stop the upcoming security motion.

As many as 22 parliamentarians yesterday signed a motion on the country’s security situation, which argued that it is important to talk about the country’s security, as the country’s situation is going through a dangerous place.

 

As many as 44 parliamentarians agreed to the motion when it was taken to vote by hand, who voted for it to be debated, which means that the parliament can call the commanders of the army.

President Hassan Sheikh is reported to be very worried about the country’s security motion, which could lead to the overthrow of the government and the country to enter into chaos while fighting against Al-Shabaab.

This meeting was attended by the Speaker of the Federal Parliament of Somalia, Mr. Sheikh Adan Mohamed Noor, the First and Second Deputy Speakers of the People’s Assembly, Mrs. Saadiya Yasin Samatar and Mr. Abdullahi Omar Abshir.
