The country’s Deputy Prime Minister launched a program funded by the United States and Britain

The Deputy Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, Mr. Salah Ahmed Jama, has launched a program to support the vulnerable people affected by the drought, which is funded by the governments of the United States and Britain to create jobs for people displaced by the drought.

This project, which will last for a period of 5 years, aims to improve the lives of vulnerable people living in rural and urban areas by enhancing the economic growth of the poor Somali community. The project is funded by USAID and UKAID, and includes, Empowerment and support of youth, Promotion of local production, Economic development, Fisheries and Livestock.

The Deputy Prime Minister of the country, Mr. Salah Ahmed Jama, said that this project will greatly contribute to the vulnerable Somali community, so they need to benefit from it, so that after five years they can be independent from the aid agencies. and achieve self-sufficiency to increase productivity.

The launch of this program was attended by the Minister of Planning, Labor and Social Affairs, Animal Husbandry, Agriculture and Irrigation, Fisheries and Marine Resources and the American Ambassador, British Deputy Ambassador and the head of the USAID Agency.
